Aston Martin V12 strategy and Vanquish 25 launch
Entities: Monterey Car Week · Vanquish 25 · Aston Martin · Q by Aston Martin
Overview
In early July 2026 Aston Martin confirmed it will keep offering a V12 engine option through at least 2035, provided annual sales stay under 1,000 units, while postponing a fully electric model and introducing a 48‑volt mild‑hybrid system for improved efficiency. That month the marque also unveiled the Vanquish 25, a limited‑edition run of 50 V12‑powered super‑GTs marking the model’s 25‑year anniversary. Hand‑crafted by the Q department, the series is split evenly between coupe and Volante variants, all built on the third‑generation chassis and powered by a 5.2‑litre twin‑turbo V12 delivering 835 hp and 1,000 Nm. The cars feature exclusive Q Skye Silver paint, metal‑foil side sills, stainless‑steel strakes and bespoke 21‑inch forged wheels. Inside, buyers can select Onyx Black, Oxford Tan or Phantom Grey upholstery, laser‑etched trim and a red start‑stop button. The launch details were reiterated on 24 – 27 July, confirming the Monterey Car Week debut (10‑16 August 2026), fourth‑quarter‑2026 deliveries and a pricing tag that will exceed the standard Vanquish’s €405 000 base price. These developments underscore Aston Martin’s commitment to preserving its high‑performance V12 heritage while gradually transitioning toward electrification.
