This sell-out led fans to seek tickets on resale platforms, where prices for various zones ranged from approximately 1,715 pesos to over 10,000 pesos for VIP options.

During Matchday 11 of the Liga MX Apertura 2026 tournament, the teams faced off at the Jalisco stadium under rainy conditions. Atlas, managed by Hernán Crespo, entered the match following a comeback victory against Tijuana. Chivas, led by Gabriel Milito, sought to regain momentum following recent losses to América and Querétaro.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw. Atlas took the lead in the 52nd minute when Kevin Zenón scored following a long pass that bypassed the Chivas defense. Chivas’ attempt to equalize was initially thwarted in the 76th minute when Ángel Sepúlveda missed a penalty after a VAR review confirmed a foul by Édgar Zaldívar on Santiago Sandoval.
