Michael Jordan’s custom 1997 Ferrari 550 Maranello has resurfaced after being out of the public eye for approximately 24 to 25 years. The vehicle, featuring a Rosso Barchetta exterior and tan leather interior, was uniquely modified by Ferrari to accommodate Jordan’s ~~height.~~ height through modified seat rails and thinner padding. Following its long tenure in a private California collection, the car was located by a Miami-based dealer in early 2026. It is scheduled for an online auction hosted by Joopiter from September 15 to September 30, with a pre-sale estimate between $700,000 and $1.3 million. As part of a ‘Driven to Greatness’ theme, the vehicle will be exhibited in New York City from September 15 to 20, alongside a game-worn jersey from the 1998 NBA Finals. In connection to the vehicle’s design legacy, Nike has announced it will reissue the Air Jordan 14 Retro in the Forest Green colorway on October 31. This reissue of the 2005 iteration features a white leather base with dark green accents on the midsole, Jumpman badge, and suede heel.
