Audi A3 redesign and broader premium lineup updates

Audi is focusing on the evolution and market positioning of its A3 model line. The company has announced plans for a comprehensive redesign of the next-generation A3, aiming to restore its reputation for premium interior quality. This strategy involves moving away from screen-heavy designs toward superior materials and better tactile feedback, incorporating design elements from high-end models and the Concept C.

Technically, the upcoming model will continue to use the Volkswagen MQB platform and will transition from diesel powertrains to more efficient gas-hybrid alternatives. Regarding the 2027 model year, the Audi A3 Sportback is being positioned as an accessible entry point into the premium segment. The 30 TFSI petrol variant features an 85 kW engine and S tronic automatic transmission, with pricing options starting at 24,390 euros.

As part of a broader expansion of its premium lineup, Audi is also updating its SUV offerings. The third-generation Audi Q3 has received technical innovations, including LED Matrix headlights and a redesigned cockpit with large digital displays. Additionally, the high-performance division is preparing the first-ever RS Q5 Sportback, which is expected to feature a more aggressive design with a larger grille, wider wheel arches, and a redesigned rear diffuser. To support its premium ecosystem, Audi is also promoting specific financing options for the A3 Sportback Entry for the 2027 model year.
