Audi performance model and tuning developments

Audi and specialized tuning companies are introducing new performance models and aftermarket upgrades for various vehicle lines.

Initial developments focused on the Audi RS Q8, with ABT Sportsline releasing a limited edition RS Q8-LE 1000 featuring a 1,000 horsepower engine and matte carbon fiber body kit. Simultaneously, Prior Design introduced the PD-RS800 widebody kit, which emphasizes visual enhancements such as fender extensions and new spoilers.

Subsequent updates expanded to the mid-sized performance segment. Audi introduced the new RS5, replacing the RS4, which utilizes a hybrid 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 powertrain. Additionally, ABT Sportsline released the ABT Power S module for the Audi S5 Avant, increasing its engine output to 440 metric horsepower.

Most recently, Audi launched a new RS 5 plug-in hybrid model featuring a V6 biturbo engine combined with an electric motor. The vehicle is available for order in Spain, with prices starting at 125,900 euros for the Sedan and 128,000 euros for the Avant. The development of this model involved international collaboration, integrating engine development from Neckarsulm, Germany, with technical engineering from Audi Hungría in Győr to manage the integration of the hybrid propulsion system.
