Bahia has become the first team from the Northeast to reach the semifinals of the Brasileirão Feminino A1. The historic advancement followed a 1-1 draw against Palmeiras at Arena Barueri, which was decided by a 5-4 penalty shootout. In the match, Rayssa Bahia scored for Palmeiras following an assist from Bia Zaneratto. Zaneratto, while Dan Nunes equalized for Bahia in the second half after receiving a cross from Márcia. The victory was secured when goalkeeper Yanne saved a penalty from Tainá Maranhão. The semifinal matchups have now been confirmed: Bahia will face Corinthians, while Flamengo will compete against São Paulo. Due to tournament records, Corinthians and São Paulo have earned secured their place by eliminating Cruzeiro with a 4-1 aggregate score. The first leg of the right to host Bahia vs. Corinthians semifinal is scheduled for September 15 at Arena Fonte Nova, with the second return leg of their respective matches.
