She noted several ‘red flags,’ including reports of physical violence from his previous relationship. During the playback of these recordings, Kalajdžić was observed smiling. Psychiatric evaluations previously noted that Kalajdžić claimed to be a follower of Nazi ideology and alleged the victim had ‘betrayed the Nazi ideology.’ While he claimed a presence called ‘Hyper’ influenced his actions, experts suggested these claims were manipulative. An IT expert testified that the victim's Xiaomi mobile device was too technically damaged for forensic examination. However, the prosecution has announced it will present audio and video recordings at the next hearing, scheduled for September 10. The verdict is expected to set a precedent for gender-based crime prosecutions in the region.
