Bandai Spirits Gundam retail expansion in Japan

Bandai Spirits has announced several upcoming retail events and locations for Gundam-themed merchandise in Japan scheduled for late 2026.

Initial plans include ‘THE GUNDAM BASE POP-UP in TAKAOKA’ at Aeon Mall Takaoka in Toyama Prefecture, running from November 15, 2026, to January 6, 2027. The event will feature Gunpla models, various goods, and a two-meter tall Gundam statue.

Further expansion includes the opening of ‘THE GUNDAM BASE SHIBUYA’ at Shibuya PARCO in Tokyo on November 20, 2026. This location is expected to feature 3D animations, LED displays, and life-sized busts of the RX-78-2, Strike Freedom, and Unicorn Gundam models. Additionally, a pop-up event in Nagano is scheduled at the Nagano Tokyu Department Store from November 27 to December 20, 2026, which will showcase products related to the upcoming 2027 animation ‘Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO’ and the game ‘GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT’.
