Beach Boys summer tour postponement

The band announced on July 22 that its summer concert series would be halted through September, canceling shows at state fairs across the United States and a performance at Bethel Woods. The pause was described as a short break for frontman Mike Love, who was dealing with health issues.

Three days later, on July 25, the band clarified that nearly 30 U.S. dates between July 23 and September 3 were postponed to allow the 85‑year‑old founding member time to recover his voice. The tour is slated to resume on September 24 at the Big E state fair in Massachusetts, with additional dates following. Tickets for the postponed shows will be honored for the new dates, and fans were advised to contact box offices for details. The announcement also noted the tour’s alignment with the United States’ 250th‑anniversary celebrations and the 60th anniversary of the 1966 album Pet Sounds, as well as a brief return of longtime member Bruce Johnston earlier in the year.
