Beard Papa, a cream puff specialty shop operated by DAY TO LIFE Co., Ltd., has announced a series of seasonal product releases in Japan. In mid-September, the shop announced the ‘Shibukawiguri no Mont Blanc Chou’, a chestnut-flavored cream puff with rum, available from September 16 through October 31, 2026. Following this, the company announced the relaunch of its ‘Baked Cheesecake Choux’ starting October 1. This version features a renewed cheesecake base intended to provide a “smoother texture and more refined melt-in-the-mouth quality” compared to previous versions. The cheesecake product is scheduled to be available until November 17. On October 1, the company also introduced the ‘Chocolat Langue de Chat Chou’, a collaboration developed under the supervision of Yannick Schoveler, Executive Chef and Chocolatier at Godiva Japan. Priced at 520 yen, this dessert consists of a chocolate choux pastry topped with chocolate langue de chat dough that is baked twice. The pastry is filled with Belgian chocolate cream and will be available until October 31. Regarding As of early October, the ‘Baked Cheesecake Chou’, the Chou’ remains part of a broader trend of seasonal autumn dessert collections being launched by various food retailers across Japan, including McDonald's Japan and Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store. The cheesecake product is priced at 340 yen per unit and is available at Beard Papa locations nationwide, though availability may vary by store.
