Belgrade Mayor Aleksandar Šapić is facing intense political pressure and calls for resignation following a physical confrontation with Tanja Mićić, a councilwoman from the Kreni-Promeni movement. Mićić alleges that Šapić struck her in the face, resulting in a fractured left nasal bone and part of the upper jaw, requiring surgery. The Kreni-Promeni movement has filed a criminal complaint and organized protests demanding Šapić’s removal.
