Beverly Hills celebrity burglary wave

In late July 2026, reality‑TV personality and fashion influencer Morgan Stewart reported that her Beverly Hills home had been burglarized twice. The first incident involved thieves breaking through an office door after a security guard fell asleep, stealing a Hermès Birkin bag, other rare handbags and her husband’s watches, while leaving a glass display case untouched. A second break‑in resulted in the loss of jewelry before security personnel intercepted the thieves on a nearby hillside.

Stewart said the burglaries reflected a broader surge in crime across Los Angeles, noting that many acquaintances had also been robbed. Two days later, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department confirmed a wave of burglaries targeting upscale southern‑California celebrities, listing additional victims such as actress Gina Torres, Real Housewives star Sutton Stracke, the Hilton family, Lionel Richie and Brad Pitt. Stolen items ranged from designer handbags and jewelry to cash, with losses estimated in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
