Beyerdynamic Aventho Y headphone launch

Beyerdynamic has introduced the Aventho Y, a new model of closed-back, over-ear headphones designed with an emphasis on both audio performance and aesthetic appeal. The design features a diverse color palette, such as ‘Liquid Black’, ‘Blue Fusion’, ‘Soft Jade’, and ‘Peach Blush’, and utilizes a mix of aluminum, stainless steel, and plastic components. The headphones are foldable with rotating earcups and use physical buttons for control rather than touch panels.

At the IFA Berlin ShowStoppers event, further technical details were revealed, including 45mm dynamic drivers and Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology. The wireless model supports Bluetooth 6.0 with Multipoint and offers up to 90 hours of battery life when ANC is disabled. A fast-charging feature provides six hours of playback from a five-minute charge.

Sustainability is addressed through replaceable ear cushions and a user-replaceable battery. Additionally, an optional upgrade package featuring a USB-C dongle and a color-matched boom microphone will be available starting in October 2025 to enable gaming headset functionality. The headphones are positioned at a recommended retail price of €149.
