BIDV debt recovery and asset seizures in Vietnam
Overview
BIDV has initiated several legal actions to recover overdue debts through the seizure of collateralized assets in Vietnam.
In October 2026, the BIDV North Saigon Branch announced plans to seize 23 land plots and associated assets within the Lang Sen Residential Area. This action follows the failure of Thao An Hoa Co., Ltd. and guarantor Phuc Khang Sen Viet L.A. Investment Co., Ltd. to fulfill obligations on a loan that has been overdue since May 2025. The seizure process was scheduled to begin on October 20, 2026.
Later in the month, the BIDV Asset Management and Exploitation Company (BAMC) announced the planned seizure of a villa in the Vinhomes Riverside urban area in Hanoi. The property was used as collateral by Dang Thi Huong Lan to secure loans for Vietnam Medicinal Materials Joint Stock Company. Following a failed request for handover in August 2026, the bank scheduled the seizure for November 13, 2026.
