Bigg Boss Kannada 13 controversies

Overview

The reality television program Bigg Boss Kannada 13 has faced several controversies involving its contestants.

In early October, contestant Jagadeesh, known as ‘Jagga Mummy’, drew criticism from viewers for his persistent flirting with wildcard contestant Sonika Gowda during a task. Despite being married, Jagadeesh’s behavior led to social media backlash, with some viewers questioning his conduct and others suggesting it was a tactic to increase screen time.

By late October, host Kiccha Sudeep issued a warning to contestants Yashas and Gagan following a dispute in which Yashas allegedly used the term ‘9’, a slur reportedly used to mock the LGBTQ+ community. Sudeep emphasized that disparaging language is unacceptable, while Yashas maintained his intention was to cause personal offense to Gagan rather than to target a specific community.
