Bihar Public Service Commission recruitment updates

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has issued several updates regarding recruitment examinations and administrative changes.

Initial reports confirmed the release of mains results for the District Statistical Officer (DSO) and Assistant Director (AD) positions, with 124 candidates advancing to interviews. The commission also published a provisional list for the Assistant Section Officer (ASO) recruitment following the February 2026 mains examination.

Subsequent updates indicated that results for the 71st Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) Prelims are anticipated in late September. To facilitate transparency, the commission allowed candidates to download unvalued answer sheets for the Mains examination to file objections. Furthermore, the application portal for the Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) position was reopened to address technical issues, with a new two-stage examination process planned for late 2026 or early 2027.

In an administrative development, Controller of Examinations Rajesh Kumar Singh was suspended following orders from Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary regarding controversial statements.
