BJP allegations against Kerala government administration

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has leveled several accusations against the government and administrative structures in Kerala regarding political and radical influence.

Initially, BJP National Secretary K. Surendran accused the United Democratic Front (UDF) government of being influenced by radical elements, specifically naming the Indian Union Muslim League and Jamaat-e-Islami. He alleged these groups pressured the state to delay the central government’s PM Shri scheme and criticized the Congress party’s local stance on national issues.

Following these claims, BJP State General Secretary Anoop Antony alleged that the Kerala Home Department remains under the influence of the CPI(M). Antony cited an incident at the Museum Police Station during Onam celebrations, where individuals accused of attacking Enforcement Directorate officials were allegedly permitted to participate in festivities. He demanded an inquiry into the conduct of police officers and called for action from Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala to uphold the rule of law.
