In mid‑July 2026 Bloom Energy announced it was vying with Constellation Energy for large‑scale data‑center power contracts. Bloom’s solid‑oxide fuel‑cell servers, capable of on‑site electricity generation, had just secured a 1 GW supply agreement with American Electric Power, positioning the company as a key clean‑power provider for AI‑driven workloads. A week later, Bloom highlighted additional applications of its fuel‑cell technology and a new focus on utility‑level infrastructure.
