Former footballer Mauro Zárate previously recommended that Boca Juniors prioritize a contract renewal for winger Exequiel Zeballos, describing him as ‘gold for Boca’. Negotiations regarding midfielder Kevin Zenón have reached a definitive conclusion. Boca Juniors has agreed to the permanent transfer of the 25-year-old to Atlas of Guadalajara for a total of $6 million. The deal involves the sale of 100% of the player’s economic rights, with payments structured in five installments through December 2027. As Boca Juniors holds 80% of the rights and Unión de Santa Fe holds 20%, the former club is expected to receive approximately $4.8 million, while Unión will receive $1.2 million. Zenón is expected to sign a four-year contract, fulfilling a request from Atlas manager Hernán Crespo; he must now undergo medical examinations in Mexico.
