Bonetto B1-4WD automotive development

Overview

Alessandro Bonetto has introduced the Bonetto B1-4WD, a high-performance reimagining of the Fiat 500 Abarth architecture. The project involves significant mechanical overhauls, most notably replacing the standard engine with an Alfa Romeo-sourced 1750 TBi four-cylinder engine tuned to produce 350 CV.

To enhance handling, the vehicle utilizes an all-wheel-drive system with variable torque distribution, capable of shifting from a 50/50 balance to a 20/80 split favoring the rear axle. The drivetrain includes a six-speed manual transmission and two limited-slip differentials.

The vehicle features a carbon fiber body widened by 15 centimeters on each side and is equipped with Öhlins TTX four-way adjustable dampers and a Brembo braking system.
