Bosnia and Herzegovina digital infrastructure development
Overview
The Agency for Identification Documents, Records and Data Exchange (IDDEEA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina has initiated several efforts to enhance the nation’s digital infrastructure and cybersecurity capabilities.
Initially, IDDEEA and TÜRKSAT agreed to a strategic cooperation framework via a Memorandum of Understanding. This partnership aims to leverage expertise in digital transformation, specifically regarding e-government platforms, secure communication, optical infrastructure, and digital identity services.
Following this, IDDEEA signed a 620,000 euro contract with Deloitte Technology & Transformation S.L.U. from Spain. Supported by the Spanish government’s FIEM program, this contract focuses on a feasibility study for the development of a dedicated cyber department. IDDEEA Director Admir Badnjević noted that the initiative is intended to ensure that digital services are secure to be effective.
