Branden Grace professional golf career transitions

Overview

South African golfer Branden Grace has announced his departure from LIV Golf to return to full-time competition on the DP World Tour for the 2026/27 season. Grace, a nine-time DP World Tour champion, stated that returning to the circuit “feels like coming home.” His exit leaves only Charl Schwartzel and Dean Burmester on the Southern Guards roster as the team approaches a funding deadline.

Following his return to the DP World Tour, Grace is targeting a rare international achievement at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open in December. A victory at Mont Choisy Le Golf would allow him to complete a clean sweep of the four current Sunshine Tour and DP World Tour co-sanctioned tournaments. Additionally, the 38-year-old aims to reach double-digit victories on the DP World Tour, where he currently holds nine wins.
