The Union Brazil União Brasil party formally nominated ACM Neto for Bahia governor at a Salvador convention, confirming Zé Cocá as his running mate and Senate tickets for Angelo Coronel and João Roma. Neto unveiled introduced a "Pix Saúde" scheme to fund private hospital subsidise private‑hospital care when public slots run out and out, operating on a night‑shift (corujão) basis to cut waiting lists. The race remains focused on health, education and infrastructure promises as the gubernatorial election August 1 convention approaches.
