Brazil child SRAG mortality rise incidence rises in several states

By early September mid-September 2026, epidemiological data across Brazil continued to show varying from Fiocruz’s InfoGripe bulletin indicates that while national trends in for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SRAG). Although incidence is highest high among young children, deaths related to the syndrome remain mortality remains most concentrated in the population aged 65 and older. In Londrina, while pediatric urgent care visits for flu syndromes decreased, SRAG hospitalizations saw a slight increase from 19 to 24 cases, with Rhinovirus, Metapneumovirus, Adenovirus, and RSV among the circulating viruses.
