Brazil coastal luxury residences

In July 2026 the Casa Raízes cliffside home in Trancoso, Bahia, was completed by Studio Gontijo Arquitetura. The 1,474 m² residence is built into a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, incorporates the surrounding Atlantic Forest, and offers a private trail to Itapororoca Beach, emphasizing a deep relationship with the terrain.

A few weeks later, in early August 2026, the Bangalô Txai ocean‑front house in Itacaré was unveiled by the studio TETRO. Set on a steep hillside, the project consists of four blocks with green roofs, natural materials and large glass canopies that create a continuous play of light and shadow, while preserving a minimal visual impact on the tropical landscape.

Together the two projects illustrate a growing trend among Brazilian architects to create high‑end, environmentally integrated cliffside residences along the Atlantic coast.
