Brazil has implemented the “Gás do Povo” program, managed by Caixa Econômica Federal, to provide LPG recharge vouchers to low-income families registered in the CadÚnico system. Eligibility is determined by household size and per capita income, with larger families receiving more frequent refills throughout the year. Recent distribution cycles include the July vouchers, which benefited approximately 3.2 million families. The August cycle, which began on August 10, 2026, remained valid through September 9.
