Brazil motorcycle and Chinese EV market expansion 2026

Overview

In mid‑July 2026, Chinese premium motorcycle brand VOGE entered Brazil, opening its first dealership in Curitiba and a second showroom in Rio de Janeiro. The $10 million launch, backed by a partnership with local assembler Dafra and a logistics hub in São Paulo, set the stage for further stores in the south by 2027. A week later, the Capital Moto Week festival in Brasília attracted up to 800,000 visitors. Brazil’s top fuel distributor Vibra promoted high‑performance gasoline, while CFMoto opened its third reservation lot and a temporary concessionary in the Federal District.

In August, VOGE and other Chinese manufacturers utilized the Suhai Festival Interlagos to expand their presence. VOGE announced the opening of VOGE Almaza, an exclusive dealership in São Paulo’s Moema neighborhood, to manage sales and service. During the festival, VOGE presented the 300 Rally trail motorcycle, which is expected to arrive in Brazil in the first half of 2027, while also showcasing four existing models and a previously unseen model. Additionally, Leapmotor exhibited the B05 mid-size electric hatchback to gauge local interest.

Dongfeng (operating as DFM) continues its electric vehicle expansion, preparing to debut the Box electric hatchback and the Vigo SUV. The company is also positioning its premium Voyah brand, having presented the Dream, Passion, Courage, and Taishan models to dealer groups. The high-performance Dream PHEV and Courage SUV were slated for test drives during the Festival Interlagos Auto from August 27 to 30. While Dongfeng intends to introduce the M-Hero brand and aims for domestic production by 2028, no formal industrial commitment or factory location has been confirmed.
