Inter de Limeira has secured promotion to the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B, ending a 35-year absence from Brazil’s second division. The club confirmed its return to the competition following a draw between Brusque and Paysandu, which allowed the São Paulo-based team to maintain its position in the standings despite a recent loss to Ferroviária. This sporting achievement coincides with a major structural transformation for the club. Members approved the creation of a Sociedade Anônima do Futebol (SAF), selling 80% of the club’s shares to an investment group led by Enrico Ambrogini, former footballer Ronaldo Nazário, and former defender Roberto Carlos. The deal involves a financial injection of up to R$ 454 million over the next decade, while the original associative club retains a 20% stake. Following the promotion, which comes after just a single season in Série C, the club’s technical staff highlighted the role of psychological conditioning in the campaign. Coach Matheus Costa credited the work of mental preparer Ricardo Borin, a specialist in Applied Neuroscience in Sport, as “fundamental” to the team’s ability to manage high-pressure environments and the psychological demands of the season.
