The PEC proposes creating a Unified Public Security System to coordinate actions across different levels of government and mandates that high-ranking members of criminal organizations serve sentences in maximum-security prisons. The amendment also seeks to empower authorities to confiscate assets linked to criminal activities and includes provisions for increased protection for women, children, and adolescents.
