Brazilian martial artists are securing selections for various national and international competitions.
In July, eighteen-year-old Vitor Moraes was named to the Brazilian Shotokan Karate team for the 7th World Championships in Vitória. This follows his success at the 2025 Brazilian Shotokan Championships. Additionally, a belt examination was held in Cuiabá for approximately 430 participants through a social-project karate association.
By August, further advancements were reported in other disciplines. Seven athletes from the KSTKD Taekwondo team in Santa Catarina qualified for the Super Brazilian Taekwondo Championship in Brasília. Furthermore, two capoeira athletes from Maricá were selected for the inaugural Brazilian national capoeira team to compete in the Pan-American Championship in Lima, Peru.
