Brazilian startup investment programs
Overview
In Brazil, new initiatives are emerging to support startup scaling through various investment models.
In September, the Inova Startups program, developed by Sebrae/SC, opened applications for its sixth edition. The program offers up to R$ 800,000 in investment to businesses with scaling potential, combining financial support with mentorship, workshops, and networking. The selection process includes an initial phase where up to 25 companies can receive up to R$ 300,000.
Following this, Beyond Company announced its Aurora open innovation initiative, which aims to invest up to R$ 4.5 million in Brazilian startups. Utilizing a venture builder model, the company intends to select up to three projects, providing approximately R$ 1.5 million per initiative. Beyond Company will act as a partner, offering technological development, legal support, and marketing strategies, with a focus on the health, education, human resources, and government sectors.
