In specialized sessions, the Iranian judiciary highlighted efforts to design new legal mechanisms and address perceived violations of Iranian rights attributed to Israel and the United States. Nasser Seraj, Deputy for International Affairs of the Iranian judiciary, discussed the potential for BRICS nations to create a new model for cooperation despite their diverse legal systems. He noted the importance of the 1958 New York Convention in establishing standards for the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards to ensure predictable dispute resolution in international trade.
