Brussels robbery of footballer Mohammed Fuseini

Overview

On the morning of 28 July 2026, Union Saint‑Gilloise forward Mohammed Fuseini, 24, was forced from his car by five masked men near a nightclub in Brussels. The attackers beat him, stole his wallet, two iPhones and a Rolex Datejust watch valued at €8,000‑€14,000. Fuseini suffered only minor injuries, was taken to a hospital for checks and returned to training the next day.

Belgian police opened an investigation into the violent robbery as an organised‑crime offence. A 23‑year‑old suspect was identified, arrested and charged; a search of his home recovered some of the stolen items. The club thanked the police for their work. Two other individuals reported similar robberies in Brussels on the same day.
