BTG Pactual asset acquisition activities in Brazil

Overview

BTG Pactual has engaged in several significant asset acquisitions in Brazil involving various financial institutions.

In late 2025, BTG Pactual and J&F sought legal security from the Central Bank regarding the purchase of assets from Banco Master. This request aimed to prevent legal challenges should the bank undergo liquidation. Following these moves, the Central Bank announced the extrajudicial liquidation of Banco Master in November 2025.
