By August 31, the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) officially approved the proposed September price of 41.60 EUR/MWh. While this represents a 5.5% monthly increase, the rate remains more than 30% lower than international gas exchange futures. The approved price mix incorporates volumes from long-term Azerbaijani contracts and LNG acquired through trader auctions, while also covering costs for transmission and storage at the Chiren facility. Market forecasts indicate that high prices may persist through autumn due to concerns over gas storage replenishment and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
