Near Curitiba, a crash involving two trucks and a car on BR‑277 in Campo Largo caused two additional fatalities. The earlier‑reported death of a 21‑year‑old female motorcyclist run over by a bus in Campo Grande was confirmed. New reports on 29 July added two more tragic events: a 52‑year‑old motorcyclist near Carambeí, Paraná, was struck from behind by a truck and subsequently run over by additional trucks on PR‑151, and a micro‑bus plunged into the Rio Curuá‑Una near Santarém, Pará, killing the driver and a 15‑year‑old passenger.

On 31 July, a 25‑year‑old motorcyclist, Kleiton Paraguai Ferreira, died after colliding with a parked EcoSport in Feira de Santana. In Patos de Minas, a 46‑year‑old man was arrested for dangerous driving while under the influence of cocaine. Authorities are investigating a range of causes, from traffic‑signal violations and driver error to vehicle fires, as they assess broader road‑safety shortcomings nationwide.
