C6 Bank entry into Brazilian corporate benefits market

Overview

C6 Bank has acquired 100% of the operations of Alymente, a startup specializing in multi-benefit cards, to enter the Brazilian corporate benefits market. The acquisition, which is awaiting approval from the Central Bank, will result in Alymente being rebranded as C6 Benefícios with cards issued via Mastercard.

This expansion into a market valued at approximately R$ 150 billion annually follows regulatory changes to the Worker's Food Program (PAT) via Decree 12.712 of 2025. These reforms have lowered entry barriers by mandating an open, interoperable infrastructure and establishing fee caps, allowing digital banks and flexible providers to compete with established operators like Alelo, Pluxee, VR Benefícios, and Ticket.
