Justice James Eamon cited a “continuous disregard” for local laws, noting the company had an unpaid $30,000 fine from a 2025 Land Use Bylaw breach.

The ongoing fire has led to a health advisory for downwind residents. In response to smoke concerns, Calgary officials have requested detailed air quality data from the province of Alberta.
