Students at California State University and community colleges are navigating financial aid challenges and evolving academic policies. Initially, California State University students faced significant delays in receiving financial aid decisions. The program has served approximately 40,000 students, providing DACA renewal assistance and legal consultations. While California offers state-funded grants through the California Dream Act and in-state tuition rates, the allocation of these resources has sparked debate, with some residents questioning the aid provided to undocumented students as middle-class families face rising tuition costs.
