The opposition claims the BNG-led administration has engaged in a continuous practice of irregular tacit extensions across up to 34 different files, creating what they describe as prohibited verbal contracts. A notable case involves the Home Help Service (SAF), where legal appeals have delayed the transition to a new contract. The Municipal Intervention has reportedly proposed an ex officio review of 15 files due to potential nullity, warning that these anomalous operations could lead to administrative and patrimonial liabilities for the Council.
