Cantv fiber optic service updates and expansion

Overview

Cantv has implemented updates to its Aba Ultra fiber optic services in Venezuela, focusing on both service structure and infrastructure expansion.

Initially, the company updated its pricing and speed tiers for fiber optic plans. These plans range from a basic 400/200 Mbps service for $27 to a high-end 1000/500 Mbps service for $60. Existing users are slated to receive progressive speed improvements.

Following these updates, Cantv expanded its fiber optic footprint in Bolívar state. During August, the company added over 430 new subscribers across several municipalities, including Caroní, Angostura del Orinoco, Piar, and El Callao. This expansion utilizes GPON technology to modernize telecommunications infrastructure and provides navigation speeds between 300 megabits and 1 gigabit.
