Carabinieri command leadership changes in Italy

Overview

A series of leadership transitions has occurred within various Carabinieri commands across Italy.

In late August, Brigadier General Gabriele Vitagliano concluded his tenure as Commander of the Carabinieri Legion of Friuli Venezia Giulia, where he focused on territorial control and cross-border crime, before transferring to a training role. He is to be succeeded by Brigadier General Gerardo Petitto.

In early September, Colonel Nicola De Tullio departed the Agrigento Provincial Command for a position at the Carabinieri General Command in Rome, following a three-year term noted for institutional collaboration regarding public health and legality.

Concurrently, in Tolentino, Major Giulia Maggi concluded a five-year term as company commander before transferring to Perugia. Captain Paolo Petruccelli, formerly of an investigative unit in Palermo, was introduced as her successor.
