Carola Häggkvist memoir release and tour

Overview

Swedish singer Carola Häggkvist has released her first autobiography, ‘Jag är Carola’, which covers her upbringing and life through 2002. In the book, she discusses personal struggles, including mentions of psychological abuse, though she stated to TT that she does not view herself as a victim and is focused on her own freedom.

The memoir includes details regarding past relationships, such as an incident she described as a ‘boyfriend bonfire’ involving former partner Runar Sögaard. Sögaard is reportedly considering legal action, alleging the book contains defamatory content and omitted certain information.

To support the release, Häggkvist is embarking on an extensive North tour this autumn with pianist Will Oaks, scheduled to include over 30 concerts across Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, and the Faroe Islands.
