Cartel Bo kidnapping case in Houston
Entities: KPRC 2 News · Harris County Jail · Houston Police Department · Texas · Lakewood Park
Overview
In late July 2026, Houston rapper Warren Brown II, known as Cartel Bo, was charged with aggravated kidnapping after a welfare‑check uncovered an alleged captive who escaped. Deputies rescued the victim, who was taken to a hospital, while Cartel Bo was already detained on separate assault and family‑violence warrants and remained held without bond.
A week later, further details emerged. Authorities alleged that Cartel Bo had locked the mother of his three children in a closet, sexually assaulted her, and also faced family‑violence assault and assault causing bodily injury charges related to the same woman and an Uber driver. The victim escaped still handcuffed after a neighbor alerted police. Investigators recovered zip ties, a deadbolt and fast‑food wrappers from the scene. The rapper was scheduled for a felony hearing on August 3 and a misdemeanor hearing on August 7, continuing to be held without bail.
