Casablanca-Settat security and service enhancements

Overview

Authorities in the Casablanca-Settat region have implemented several measures to improve security and public service infrastructure.

In Casablanca, the General Directorate of National Security launched a new mobile emergency police unit (UMPS) in the Ain Sebaâ Hay Mohammadi area. This unit is connected to a central command and coordination center, utilizing urban camera surveillance and the 19 emergency line to manage field patrols. The unit uses motorcycles, vehicles with location-tracking, and body-worn cameras to facilitate 24/7 operations.

In the broader Casablanca-Settat region, the Regional Council provided 32 new vehicles to the regional command of the Auxiliary Forces to increase operational capacity. Additionally, the Société Régionale Multiservices (SRM) Casablanca-Settat inaugurated a new provincial headquarters in Benslimane to centralize administrative services, with further expansion planned in Mansouria.
