Cédric Jubillar murder case and legal proceedings

The investigation into the 2020 disappearance of Delphine Jubillar has undergone significant developments following a confession by her husband, Cédric Jubillar. Previously maintaining his innocence, Jubillar admitted to killing his wife during a dispute and concealing her body under compost in a field, a statement made after the discovery of bones believed to belong to the victim.

Legal proceedings are ongoing, with a judicial reconstruction of the night of the disappearance scheduled for October 2 in Cagnac-les-Mines to prepare for an upcoming appeal trial. Jubillar, who was previously sentenced to 30 years in detention, faces a new appeal trial in Toulouse scheduled for late April to mid-May 2027, where he faces the possibility of life imprisonment.

While awaiting trial, Jubillar has been involved in disciplinary issues at Seysses prison. He was recently caught by staff engaging in a prohibited sexual act with a visitor, an incident that resulted in the suspension of the visitor's permit. This follows a 2024 sanction regarding a previous sexual relationship with a former partner.
