CFE electrical service training and strategy expansion

Overview

The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) has launched the ‘CFE Conectada Contigo’ initiative to improve electrical service reliability through collaboration with state governments and local municipalities.

The program began in Oaxaca, marking the first state to host sessions. The training involved 108 mayors from various regions and focused on preventive maintenance, such as tree pruning, to reduce service failures and strengthen infrastructure.

The strategy has since expanded to Durango, where the CFE is utilizing virtual meetings with municipal authorities to address power stability concerns. Following these dialogues, the CFE committed to conducting technical inspections across all municipalities in Durango to define necessary improvements. The national strategy has now reached 18 states.
