Overview

Singer and songwriter Chaka Khan is set to receive the Classic Soul Honor at the 2026 Soul Train Awards. The recognition celebrates her five-decade career and her influence on soul, funk, and R&B music.

The ceremony is scheduled to air on November 27, with BET hosting and CBS providing its first-ever simulcast of the event. The awards will return to Chicago, the original launch site of the Soul Train television show in 1971.
