Charity and healthcare support initiatives in Croatia andsㅣS
Overview
Community and charitable initiatives have been launched across Croatia and Slovenia to support healthcare and vulnerable populations.
In Croatia, local donations in Medulin were directed to Pula General Hospital to fund neonatal resuscitation equipment and medical supplies. In Međimurje County, the SDP Health and Social Policy Council provided hygiene and food supplies to the Caritas Daycare Center and organized a forum regarding women’s health. Additionally, the “Sretno odrastanje” association in Osijek initiated a Christmas campaign to collect food, hygiene products, and monetary aid for families in need, including victims of domestic violence.
In Slovenia, the Lions Club Novo mesto held a charity hike to raise funds for the Association of Paraplegics of Dolenjska, Bela Krajina, and Posavje. The proceeds are intended to purchase an adapted vehicle to assist members with mobility challenges and to support socially disadvantaged students.
