Charity running and sporting events in Poland

Charity running events have been organized across various Polish cities to fund medical, rehabilitative, and social causes. In late September, events in Sulejów and Łódź raised funds for a young girl’s neurological treatment and for a hospice sensory garden. Following these, new initiatives were scheduled for early December in Ropczyce and Warsaw. These upcoming events aim to support pediatric medical equipment and rehabilitation in the Ropczyce-Sędziszów district, as well as mental health workshops for educators in Warsaw. In mid-October, several regional sporting and recreational events were scheduled. In Warsaw, the fifth edition of the ‘Biegiem Pomagam’ event was set to take place in Łazienki Królewskie to support children's mental health. Other running competitions included the XI Bieg Orła in Czosnów, the I Bieg Niepodległości in Laskowa—which features a half-marathon and youth races—and a new 10 km course for the Kraków Bieg Niepodległości. Other regional activities included the Walimskie Biegach Górskich mountain running competition, a national cycling competition, the Crystal Cup horse racing in Wrocław, and a motorcycle season finale in Ochaby. Recent updates indicate the 22nd Borderland Cultures Fair has commenced in Kraków, featuring workshops and concerts. The Kraków Independence Run has introduced a new, certified 10-kilometer route along the Vistula River. Sporting highlights include the XI Eagle Run in Czosnów, headlined by Olympic pentathlete Łukasz Gutkowski, and the Walim Mountain Runs. Additionally, the sixth ‘Together for Life’ event in Pleszew focused on testing first aid skills, while Jasło hosted the ‘Advocates of Peace’ outdoor exhibition. Further charity runs are scheduled for December to support mental health and children's medical needs. New developments show the 22nd Borderland Cultures Fair is underway at Mały Rynek in Kraków, offering craft workshops and music from Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, and Ukraine.
